How to make personal contributions
AustSafe Super does not charge any fees to make extra personal contributions, and there
are several easy ways you can make payments:
- Ask your employer to deduct a specific amount from your pay to go into your
AustSafe Super account. Your employer can send the amount to us regularly with their
own Superannuation Guarantee contributions.
- Send your own contributions by cheque, mailing them to us with written
instructions to deposit the amount to your account. Remember to include your
membership number and personal details so we correctly identify your account.
- Arrange with your bank or credit union to make a regular contribution via
direct debit from your account. Contact us for more information.
- Ask your employer about salary sacrifice contributions - this means that
your contribution is deducted from your gross salary instead of your after-tax
salary. There can be tax benefits to making salary sacrifice contributions.
For more information, you should consult a financial planner or tax consultant.
Making after-tax contributions (options 1, 2 & 3 above) could make you eligible for the Federal Government's Co-contribution, which will make your super grow even faster.
